Buying this to replace a zinc wing nut on a perch?

• Perches branded in the USA usually use Imperial fasteners (1/4" for the smaller). For example Sweet Feet Beak Safety Perches and Polly's Cholla Perches.
• Perches made in Australia will usually use Metric fasteners (mostly M6 bolts and nuts on their perches).

Important note: Fasteners can be metric or imperial. Even if they look the same size metric nuts will not fit imperial bolts or vice versa. This is not always because of an imperceptible size difference, but can also be because the threaded end can be differently shaped.
