Raw Pine Nuts

Birds love pine nuts! Not actually a nut but a seed from the cone of the pine tree us humans consume them in abundance. They make up the essential components for our favourite dishes - baked into bread added to salads and of course the Italian pesto sauce. What is good for us is definitely great for our parrots.

Pine nuts are the majority portion of the diet for many wild birds. They are an excellent weaning food for baby parrots because they are soft and easy for babies to eat. These nuts might be small in size but are big in taste.
