Shipping, Returns and troubleshooting
Shipping within Australia
My Parrot Shop currently ship orders via Australia Post. Orders within Australia over $100 receive free shipping (bulk nuts and wholesale orders excluded). Shipping for orders under $100 are calculated by weight. Orders are generally shipped Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Australia Post will deliver to Post Office Boxes. Upon check out you will see the following shipping options (the free shipping option will only appear if your order is over $100 excl. GST):

My Parrot Shop cannot accept responsibility for parcels once they have been shipped by us, and the parcel leaves our hands. Any discrepancies with delivery times or lost packages should be taken up with Australia Post, we will however assist you in this matter if required. Please see the “Tracking” and “Insurance” headings below:
Express Post
Due to the rural location of My Parrot Shop, express post is no longer an option on the website. It can be arranged by special request; however, it should be noted that overnight/next day delivery is not guaranteed.

Authority to Leave/Signature Required
Australia Post’s default is to attempt to find a safe place to leave your parcel, otherwise they will leave an Australia Post calling card for you to arrange pick-up or redelivery.
Please leave a comment upon checking out if you have a specific requirement for leaving parcels.
Signature on delivery is available on request for $3.00 per parcel. This means Australia Post will not leave your parcel if no-one is at home to sign for the package. Please contact us at orders@myparrotshop.com if you wish to have ‘Signature required” added to your order.
Tracking
Tracking is standard on all orders, so you can track your parcel and lodge an enquiry if your parcel is delayed or missing. To track your parcel visit https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/#/search and copy the tracking number you received upon shipment of your parcel, into the search bar.
Insurance
My Parrot Shop orders are shipped with Australia Post tracking, but not with insurance.
Insurance is available (calculated by Australia Post) on request. Please contact us at orders@myparrotshop.com if you wish to have Insurance added to your order.
International Shipping
My Parrot Shop currently ship orders Internationally via Australia Post with the freight calculated by weight and product dimensions with Australia Post.
Due to quarantine risks, My Parrot Shop will not ship nuts, sprouts or Australia natural products internationally. Most toys, books, DVDs and training products are available for international orders.
Each country has different laws for importing certain products. Please be familiar with these laws prior to purchasing with My Parrot Shop. Depending on these laws and what you are importing, you may be charged additional quarantine charges. My Parrot Shop does not accept any responsibility for these fees. Please check with your local customs office for more information. Usually there is a generous threshold for the value of goods you can import for personal use without attracting local taxes.

Wholesale Orders
Wholesale orders are shipped via Australia Post with the buyer responsible for shipping costs.

Bulk Nuts
Bulk nut orders (over 5 kgs) for nuts are available, however large nut orders can attract a large shipping fee. We are happy to process your order, although these bulk orders do not qualify for the “over $100 free Shipping”, so shipping costs must be met by the buyer. Pick Up
My Parrot Shop does not have a store front, but pick-up can be arranged by appointment in Tomerong, NSW 2540 (on the NSW South Coast). Please email us at orders@myparrotshop.com or call us on 0436393511 to arrange an appointment.
Returns/refunds
Products that arrive broken or products that were incorrectly provided will be replaced by My Parrot Shop. You must provide photographic evidence within 48 hours of receipt of the items. Please contact us at orders@myparrotshop.com or call us on 0436393511 to organise replacement.
We do not provide a refund or replacement products if you change your mind (or if your bird changes its mind). Replacement products can be arranged at your own expense including the cost of shipping, unless otherwise agreed with My Parrot Shop.
Due to the nature of parrot beaks, we do not provide refunds on products altered or destroyed by your parrot. My Parrot Shop endeavours to create safe and reliable parrot toys, however care should always be taken whenever you are placing anything in your bird’s cage. Always keep a close eye on toys and remove them if they become unsafe.
Incorrectly ordered items can be replaced at the buyer’s expense. Please contact My Parrot Shop at orders@myparrotshop.com prior to making any return.
Website Difficulties
If you are having difficulties with the website or completing your order you can try deleting your browser history and resetting the cache. You can also try resetting your computer. If you are still having difficulties, please email us your order (either a list of products and sizes, or a screen shot of your shopping cart), along with your full name, contact number, email address and shipping address and we can process your order manually. The payment methods for manual orders are the same as the website (PayPal, direct debit or credit card).
My Parrot Shop uses an external website hosting company. Whilst we try very hard to maintain website functionality, glitches can occur. We always chase these up immediately with our website host, however individual issues can take up to 24 hours to resolve.
