Bird of Man
Introducing... “In the city of a thousand smiles” The debut CD from Melbourne soloist, Bird of Man. After two years in the making Melbourne artist Bird of Man delivers his debut album “In the city of a thousand smiles”. Produced by acclaimed engineer and producer,Greg O'shea (The Badloves/Brilliant Fanzine) this record is sure to find a place in the hearts and souls of many. Completely original works, Bird of Man (Tristen Bird) has composed all of the music on the record, playing the guitars, and is also the vocalist. He describes his musical style as being contemporary pop/rock, but adds that it is definitely inspired by the music he heard his folk-inspired musician father playing at home and in concerts. Other artists who have taken part in the recording sessions include Darren Danielson (Chocolate Starfish/Pseudo Echo) and Lachlan Doley (Billy Thorpe/Jimmy Barnes/Powderfinger). The songs are honest and accessible for all as a rich tapestry of strings and delicate guitar tones surround tales of passing life through the artist’s eyes.
